Stormy, a young GSD mix and Billy's sole canine companion, silently succumbed, presumably to distemper, casting a shadow over the ongoing challenges faced by neglected dogs.

In Memory of Stormy:

Stormy, a gentle and sweet German Shepherd mix, held a special place in the midst of the challenges faced on "Billy's Street." Unlike the other dogs who wandered as strays, Stormy was the only one officially recognized as belonging to Billy.

During the initial visit, Stormy left a lasting impression with her friendly demeanor and apparent good health. She was a young soul, embodying the resilience that can exist even in the toughest of circumstances.

Tragically, on the subsequent trip, Stormy's absence cast a shadow over the rescue efforts. She had left this world unexpectedly, and the presumed cause was the unforgiving grip of distemper—a silent menace that claims the lives of countless dogs in the Rio Grande Valley.

Stormy's passing serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for intervention and care on Billy's Street. In her memory, we recommit ourselves to the mission of providing a chance for those who continue to fight for survival in the face of adversity.
